Dr. Ruggiero and Her Team Visit Perferx Optical
Last month, Dr. Ruggiero and her team took a trip to Perferx Optical in Pittsfield, Mass. to get a behind-the-scenes look at how optical lenses are created. Perferx Optical is a family-owned, state-of-the-art, full-service lab that Northampton Vision Specialists has been partnering with for over a decade. “Perferx is reliable in handling even the most complex prescriptions,” Dr. Ruggiero said. “We put our complete trust in them.”
Accompanying Dr. Ruggiero to Perferx was Dr. Hannigan, as well as Senior Optometric Technician Michelle Dilts and Optician Karin Chevalier. The trip included a full tour of the facility, as well as some valuable insight into the latest technologies and lens coatings. According to Dr. Ruggiero, Perferx provides the latest technology in digital progressive lens designs, as well as the newest and best lens coatings.
The trip also gave the team an opportunity to see how the lenses are created and processed – in other words, all the steps taken from the time an order is sent to Perferx for processing to the time the office receives the completed lenses. “It was a pleasure visiting Perferx and meeting the knowledgeable staff that provides us with superior customer service every day,” Dr. Ruggiero said.
