She’s a Fellow
Our very own Dr. Hannigan has gone and done it!! She has become board certified and was designated a Fellow of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development (FCOVD). We are so proud of her!
The intense certification process identifies doctors of optometry who are prepared to offer state-of-the-art clinical services in behavioral and developmental vision care, vision therapy and vision rehabilitation. Fellows must have at least 5-6 years of clinical experience in these areas, and complete several levels of written requirements including case studies and research questions, culminating in a rigorous oral examination in Jacksonville, FL.
There are just a handful of optometrists in Massachusetts who have earned the FCOVD title, and we have two right here, under one roof.
